Thunderstorms Knock Out Power to Small Number of O.C. Homes

A lightning strike on Monday morning knocked out power to about 132 homes near the Rite Aid pharmacy at 14th Street and West Avenue, according to Atlantic City Electric.

A power outage map estimated the service would be restored by 2 p.m.

A line of thunderstorms passed over Ocean City early on Monday. A heavy downpour that coincided with an 8 a.m. bayside high tide this morning flooded some streets with poor drainage.
