The Ocean City Board of Realtors will hold its annual Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (June 20) at a new location.
This year the Plant Sale will be at the office of the Ocean City Board of Realtors at 405 22nd Street.
Proceeds will benefit the Waves of Caring Organization of Ocean City. The sale features annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, flowering bushes, vegetables and flats — all available for sale at special discounted prices.
Pre-sales will be available at the Ocean City Board of Realtors starting 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (June 18).
Due to the success of the 2014 sale, Gloria Votta, chair of the Community Service Committee, on behalf of the Board of Realtors, was able to present a check in the amount of $2,605 to Jim Smith, executive director of Waves of Caring.
“The Board of Realtors, in partnership with residents, visitors and Realtors, is pleased to continue this annual event to help raise funds to support our community organizations,” said Votta, now president of the board.
Waves of Caring collects donations year-round to support the “grandparent” toy drive, the scholarship fund and emergency family assistance. Waves of Caring also provides funds to the Department of Recreation to support children’s camps and athletic programs.
