The blocks surrounding the intersection of North Street and Station Road (West Avenue) are closed to traffic on Wednesday morning as New Jersey American Water Company crews work to fix a water main.
A construction crew preparing to repave the roadway reportedly struck the water main early on Wednesday, sending a wide spray of fresh water skyward and streams running down the street.
It’s not immediately known if water service is interrupted to any of the adjacent homes.
