Summerlee Reimet was not even sure she wanted to go to the Ocean City Historical Museum on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 20), but she’s now glad she did. At just before 2 p.m., Mark Reimet, financial advisor with the Ocean City Financial Group, and his family strolled into the Museum and his daughter, Summerlee, was the 7,000th visitor of 2014 to the museum.

She said she must be on a lucky streak because she had won a prize at another event recently. Photo (L to R):  Grandmother Elaine Reimet, Parents Kathy and Mark behind Summerlee, and Grandfather, Dick Reimet.

Museum Executive Director Jeff McGranahan commented, “The Museum thanks all of our 2014 visitors for making this achievement possible. Let’s make it to 8,000 in 2015!”

He also announced that the museum will be open on Mondays, starting January 5, 2015, making it more accessible to the public all year. Now the total hours open to the public is 39 hours per week. The museum is located in the Community Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City, NJ and is open Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., extended hours on Thursday until 7 p.m.
