After a year of exciting changes, Ocean City Financial Group (OCFG) has more to offer clients than ever before.

Clients can still expect the same experience and personal service that they have for the past 25 years.

However, the team and their resources have grown in significant ways to offer clients better access to cutting-edge research and technology of today. Most exciting, OCFG has chosen to align with LPL Financial’s Institution Services platform to support its investment program.

By joining LPL Financial, which is a leader in the retail financial services market and the nation’s largest independent broker/dealer*, OCFG now gains access to the firm’s comprehensive array of tools, resources, technology and independent research to enable the delivery of objective financial advice.

“With LPL we are positioning ourselves to better support our clients with market-leading resources, technology and innovative capabilities,” says Mark Reimet, a certified financial planner who opened the OCFG office in 1997 after working in Philadelphia and New York City for several years.

He continued, “LPL’s independent platform enables us to offer a greater depth and range of services to our clients. In addition, the platform provides choice and flexibility to be able to provide access to investment solutions and financial advice based on the unique needs of each client.”

Reimet and his team, which includes financial planners Jodie Booth and Chris Kent, wanted to provide a comprehensive groundwork for those who want to invest wisely, save smart and have the means to send their children off to college, retire comfortably or simply save for the future.

“Times have changed. Clients want to be able to go on their smart phones to track their investments and returns,” Reimet pointed out. “We wanted to make sure that we can provide that, and that we are positioned to add any new technology as soon as it is available.”

Reimet, Booth and Kent work together as a team in the best interests of the clients’ needs. Together, they have over 75 years of experience, each bringing an individualized set of skills and qualifications to the table.

Reimet is a certified financial planner. The CFP recognition is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to financial professionals who have met standards for experience, knowledge and ethical conduct in financial planning. This important designation has become the gold standard in the financial planning industry.

With all of these exciting updates, it comes as no surprise that this year OCFG was invited to align with a comprehensive group of advisors, the Private Advisor Group.

Through the Private Advisor Group, OCFG is part of a family of like-minded advisors who put their clients’ interests first and are committed to doing what it takes to be successful entrepreneurs and financial experts.

Dana Linthicum is OCFG’s marketing consultant and also a client.

The Ocean City married mother of two said there are many changes going on in her hometown.

“Ocean City is seeing a resurgence of people investing here and making changes to their financial portfolio,” she said.

Linthicum added, “It is a good time to make sure the decisions you make today will be the best ones for your future. You want someone local to help guide you with these financial plans and you can rest assured OCFG is as cutting-edge, qualified and experienced as you would find in a major city.”
