Two More COVID-19 Deaths in County

Cape May County on Tuesday reported two more deaths and eight new cases of the coronavirus. The new deaths included a 57-year-old man and a 62-year-old man from Woodbine, according to a press release.

Cape May County Reports Two New Coronavirus Deaths

Cape May County on Monday reported two more deaths and 10 new cases of coronavirus, but also announced that it now has antibody testing available. The most recent deaths were a 70-year-old man from Middle Township and a 72-year-old man from Lower Township. Altogether, 25 Cape May County residents have died of COVID-19 among a total of 371 cases, according to a county press release.

Letter to the Editor: Senior Living Centers Can’t Do It Alone

Lawrence D. Carlson, president and CEO of United Methodist Communities, discusses the deep personal relationships that develop between staff members and the residents at senior living centers. Protect Entire Family, Including Pets, From Coronavirus, County Says

Cape May County health officials on Sunday reported 11 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 361 countywide. Currently, 155 cases in the county have recovered from the virus. A breakdown follows of the total number of coronavirus cases and deaths in each municipality of Cape May County.

Beaches, Boardwalk Remain Closed

One New COVID-19 Death in County

Cape May County on Saturday reported one new death and four more cases from the coronavirus. Altogether, the county has 350 cases of COVID-19 and 23 deaths. In addition, 155 people have recovered and are off quarantine, according to the latest figures. County officials Saturday confirmed the death of an 85-year-old woman from Lower Township.

Mayor’s Message: ‘We Need to be Patient’

Mayor Jay Gillian is urging the community to be patient while the beaches, boardwalk and other attractions remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic. "No decision has been made about when the beaches and boardwalk in Ocean City will reopen," he said in a statement Friday. "The first priority right now is the health and safety of everybody in town. We also are working every day with health officials, local merchants and others to share information and establish the policies and protocols that will keep us all safe when we do reopen." County Reports Another Coronavirus Death

The Cape May County Health Department reported Friday that an 89-year-old man from Lower Township has died from COVID-19. The total number of coronavirus cases in Cape May County is now 346, including 22 deaths, according to a county press release.
