Ocean City’s far-reaching reputation as a great place to live, work and play has served the town well in the latest “Best of New Jersey” contest recently published by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
Ocean City won in five different categories and was runner-up in another:
In Best of NJ 2014: Summer Getaways, Ocean City won Best Beach and Best Boardwalk. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier won Best Amusement Park and Pirate Island Adventure Golf won Best Mini Golf.
In Best of NJ 2014: Attractions and Recreation, Heritage Surf & Sport won Best Surf Shop.
In Best of NJ 2014: Shopping, Bookateria Two was a runner-up for Best Indie Bookstore.
The contest asked readers to vote each month on different categories. New Jersey Monthly writers then added brief (and sometimes curious) descriptions of the winners.
