Ocean City’s 67th annual Halloween Parade is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 30. Parade route is from Sixth Street to 11th Street on Asbury Avenue.

The event has been presented all 67 years by the Ocean City Exchange Club and is one of the longest running Halloween parades in the Tri-State area. Jeff Shirk chairs the event.

It has long been the outstanding Halloween Parade in the area attracting huge crowds to Ocean City. The march includes an array of colorful costumed characters competing for prizes, bands, floats and is a fun-filled, family evening.

The Ocean City and Mainland Regional High School Bands and the Pitman Hobo Band will be featured. There will also be decorated floats from numerous organizations competing for trophies.

The Boy Scouts are assisting Ocean City Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard by scouting for food along the route. Canned and dried foods would be appreciated.

Registration to enter the Parade is free and runs through Oct. 28. All registrations are taken on line at www.ochp.blogspot.com. For more information, call the Parade Info Hotline, 1-800-813-5580.
