With Full Moon and Rain, Flooding Threat Continues in O.C.

Heavy rainfall and a near-full-moon tide combined to flood streets in Ocean City on Monday night.

With the full moon arriving Tuesday night and with more rain in the forecast, the possibility exists for more flooding. Residents of low-lying streets should consider moving vehicles to high ground.

High tides on Tuesday on the bay side of Ocean City (Ninth Street Bridge) are at 9:26 a.m. and 9:03 p.m.

A National Weather Service flash flood warning for most of southern New Jersey continues into Tuesday morning. Lines of thunderstorms on Monday dumped several inches of rain on different parts of the region.

Passing showers are likely to continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the NWS forecast.
