Ocean City’s tribute to all things soothing, serene and silent — the annual Quiet Festival — takes place on Friday and Saturday on an appropriately quiet weekend in November.

Quiet Festival opening ceremonies are set for the Gazebo Park across from City Hall at Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue starting at noon on Friday (Nov 13).

The Quiet Pet Contest, Snore at Shore, Turtle Singers, Beadamania and many other quiet events will be held in the Senior Center at the Ocean City Community Center, 17th Street and Simpson Avenue, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 14).

See full schedule in the PDF below.

This year, the young participants in the Ocean City Tabernacle After School Program will get a head start on quiet festivities.

Ken Thorpe and his paper airplane making and flying crew will visit the program from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 12). They will show children how to make paper airplanes and then fly them. Children will attempt to toss their paper airplanes though a Bull’s Eye Target set up by Thorpe. This event is only for children in the program.
