The Betsy Young Memorial fund will host a semi-formal, under-the-sea-themed masquerade benefit dinner from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Wednesday August 27.
The public is invited to the event, which will raise funds for Project Inspiration, an effort to upgrade the Ocean City Intermediate Schools sound system. The event also will benefit the Betsy Young Scholarship Fund, named for the beloved Intermediate School teacher who died of brain cancer in 2011.
The event will be held at the Pavilion at Boardwalk Adventures, located on the grounds of the water park on Plymouth Place. The memorial fund has spent countless hours preparing decor and a menu to fit the under-the-sea theme.
Tickets for the evening are $25 and include appetizers, entree, desserts, beverages, and two raffle tickets. Food is buffet style. Raffle items include donations from many local businesses.
DJ Jason E of 99.3-FM The Buzz will be on location providing music for the evening.
Guests are encouraged to dress to impress and to wear a mask. Prizes will be given for the best dressed.
The Betsy Young Memorial Fund decided to host this event as a last chance to enjoy summer fun and a great opportunity to get dressed up and go out.
