The public is invited to a forum on bicycling in Ocean City 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (August 18) at the Howard S. Stainton Senior Center within the Ocean City Community Center (17th Street and Simpson Avenue).
Participants are encouraged to learn about new bicycle-friendly amenities in Ocean City and to share opinions on bicycle safety and the usability of Ocean City streets.
The meeting will be the eighth annual event organized by representatives of Bike OCNJ, a volunteer group that promotes safe cycling in Ocean City and advocates for improvements.
Safe cycling in Ocean City is seen as both a recreational pursuit and a viable transportation alternative on a small island where the population swells to more than 150,000 on any given summer weekend.
