The Ocean City Board of Realtors will hold its annual Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (June 21) at the home of John and Joyce Andrews at 27th Street and West Avenue.
Proceeds will benefit the Waves of Caring, which purchases holiday gifts for needy families in Ocean City.
The sale features annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, flowering bushes, vegetables and flats — all available for sale at special discounted prices.
Pre-sales will be available at the Ocean City Board of Realtors office, 405 22ndSt. and at 27th St. & West Ave. locations starting 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 19.
Due to the success of the 2013 Plant Sale, Gloria Votta, chair of the Community Service Committee, on behalf of the Board of Realtors, was able to present a check in the amount of $2,000 to Jim Smith, Executive Director, of The Waves of Caring Organization.
“The Board of Realtors is excited that we can partner with residents, visitors and Realtors of Ocean City through local fundraising events to help support our community organizations” says Votta.
Waves of Caring collects donations year wide to support the “grandparent” toy drive, the scholarship fund and emergency family assistance. Waves of Caring also provides funds to the Department of Recreation to support children’s camps and athletic programs.
