The Ocean City High School boys swim team defeated visiting Cherry Hill West, 102-68, in the semifinals of the South Jersey Public B group.

The win advances the Red Raiders to the finals, where they will face conference foe Mainland for a neutral site meet at Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Deptford Township on Wednesday afternoon.

Ocean City won six of the eleven races Monday against Cherry Hill West, keeping the meet close with a slim 34-28 lead after four events. The Red Raiders were able to garner enough second and third place finishes to seal the victory.

With wins in two of the three relays, the Raiders extended their margin going into the final race of the afternoon.

Ocean City Head Coach Shane McGrath was very happy with how his team swam.

“Across the board, we put up our best times this season,” McGrath said post meet.

He continued, “With that in mind, we are excited and really looking forward to a great swim against Mainland on Wednesday.”
