Paper-Shredding and Household Cleanup Day Set for May 3-4

Ocean City's recycling center is on Shelter Road off Tennessee Avenue.

Ocean City will hold its semi-annual Household Cleanup Days on May 3 and May 4 at the Shelter Road Recycling Center located off Tennessee Avenue.

You can discard your unwanted trash, furniture, cell phones, recycling and CFL light bulbs from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, May 3, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4. Free paper-shredding will be available during the same hours only on Saturday, May 4.

The event is free for residents and property owners in Ocean City. Just bring a driver’s license or other proof of residency/ownership.

Paper-shredding will be provided by a highly secure, mobile shredding unit. It must include paper only, but paper clips and staples are acceptable.

The service is not for contractors, construction or demolition debris. No fluids, paints or hazardous waste are permitted.
