The Committee to Re-elect Mayor Jay A. Gillian has opened their campaign headquarters in the heart of Ocean City’s downtown.

The headquarters will be staffed by a large group of campaign volunteers working to re-elect Mayor Gillian in the local municipal election scheduled for May 10, according to a news release Thursday announcing the opening.

Local voters are invited to stop by the campaign headquarters, located at 854 Asbury Avenue, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Hours will expand as the election approaches.

Voters can pledge their support, offer to volunteer, request yard signs, and pick up voter registration, absentee/vote by mail applications, and campaign materials such as car magnets and buttons.

During his three terms as mayor, governing in accordance with his guiding principle of “Unity in the Community,” Gillian has achieved an unprecedented record of infrastructure improvements, expansion of services, fiscal responsibility and improved property values, the release says.

He is seeking another term to build on the progress Ocean City has achieved for residents, visitors and investors during his tenure as mayor.
