Mahoney, Margaret Catherine age 73, (nee Mulligan) of Sea Isle City passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Presbyterian Hospital of Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was formerly of Lansdowne, PA. She had summered in Sea Isle City, NJ for over 30 years moving here permanently 13 years ago.
Mrs. Mahoney was a graduate of Prendergast High School and Gwynedd Mercy University.
She worked as a Nurse for Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Temple Hospital where she was Head Nurse for four years, Bayada Home Care and most recently Heartland Hospice.
Mrs. Mahoney was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church in Sea Isle City where she served with the Bereavement Ministry, was an Eucharistic Minister, a Reader and Parish Nurse.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard “Dick” Mahoney of Sea Isle City, NJ, two daughters, Jennifer Hoffman (Brian) of Linwood, NJ and Maggie Casciano (Michael) of Reading, PA, a grandchild, Brayden James Hoffman, two sisters: Eunice Burke of Clifton Heights, PA and Betty Taylor of Aston, PA, and one brother, Daniel Mulligan of Mahopac, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial was offered Saturday morning, November 26 at 11 o’clock from St. Joseph’s RC Church, 43rd And Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ where friends may call from 9:30 until 10:45 AM. Burial was private at the convenience of her family.
