The Jeep Invasion originally scheduled to take place on the Ocean City Boardwalk for Saturday, Sept. 23, has been rescheduled due to the approaching storm this weekend.

About 400 Jeeps will now roll down the Boardwalk on Sunday, Oct. 15, and remain on display in lines from Fifth Street to 14th Street. The event will run from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants who signed up for the Jeep Invasion will be contacted by the event organizers. Visit www.njjpinvasion.com for more information.

The OCNJ Half Marathon remains scheduled as planned and organizers are expecting a strong turnout for three races on Sunday, Sept. 24.

In-person registration remains open and will be available with packet pickup 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday (Sept. 22) and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 23) at the Ocean City Aquatic & Fitness Center (1735 Simpson Avenue).

There will be race-day registration for the 5K starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier. There will be no race-day registration for the Half Marathon and 10-mile event.

For complete information and registration, visit www.ocnj.us/race-events. The increasingly popular event showcases Ocean City’s Boardwalk, downtown, neighborhoods and ocean views along a fast, flat course.
