Authors representing Ocean City today and yesterday will sign their books at Sun Rose Words & Music during the city’s Block Party beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.
Sun Rose is located at 756 Asbury Avenue. Books may be ordered by calling (609) 399-9190 and will be signed for those who cannot make the event.
Authors are:
- Ocean City’s own Fred Miller, who with wife, Susan, has written six books on Ocean City history. His most recent is “Ocean City’s Historic Hotels.”
- Mary Ann Bolen will sign her popular “The Ocean City Bucket List: 100 Ways to Have a Real Ocean City Experience” (most of the activities are free).
- Mother and daughter co-authors Chery Larkin and Kate Kurelja will sign “Savoring the Shore,” a cookbook with many seafood and shore-inspired recipes. The profits from the books go to the Sandy Relief Fund.
- Children’s authors Cindy Fortunato (“Sammy’s Adventures in Ocean City”) and best-selling author Trinka Hakes Noble (“Apple Tree Christmas,” “The Christmas Spider’s Miracle,” “Little New Jersey” and “Little Pennsylvania” and many more kids’ history books) will also sign.
Visitors will find books for ages 2 to adult. These autographed books make special one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts.
