And Sunday’s forecast calls for more of the same mild weather with a little less wind. The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 55 degrees and southwest winds of 13 to 18 mph. Some gusts on Saturday topped 40 mph.

But the second of two Easter Egg Hunts a week apart drew thousands to the beach between 11th and 14th streets to watch children age 7 and younger hunt for treats.

Rides at Playland’s Castaway Cove and Gillian’s Wonderland Pier were open, and the boardwalk saw summer-like pedestrian traffic.

Easter events continue on Sunday with a Sunrise Service on the Ocean City Music Pier and a Fashion Promenade.

THE EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE: Starts 6:30 a.m. at Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace.
