Clark, McAlister Retain Leadership Roles on Ocean City School Board

Joseph Clark was reappointed president of the Ocean City Board of Education during the annual reorganization meeting Wednesday night. Jacqueline McAlister retained her position as vice president during the meeting that included the swearing in of six board members. Also, the fall sports teams received athletic honors in a ceremony in which families snapped cellphone photos and coaches spoke of the talented athletes in the district. Clark, Michael James and Cecilia Gallelli-Keyes, all Ocean City representatives, were sworn in for three-year terms by Business Administrator Tim Kelley. Historian Fred Miller, Dedicated to Ocean City

To encapsulate all that Ocean City resident Fred Miller, a historian, author, and longtime lifeguard, has done in his 76 years, would not fit into anything short of a novel. Miller and his late wife Susan, wrote nine books together, six of which were on Ocean City, chronicling the city’s vibrant history. By noon Christmas day, Mike Lukens and his team of volunteers, were steadily serving up 60 turkeys, 20 hams, 130 loaves of bread and 20 gallons of coleslaw.
