Everybody is invited to a scholarship fundraiser for the Ocean City High School surf team 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Ocean City Yacht Club. The event includes food and dancing.
All money raised after expenses will go toward scholarships for senior surf team members who are bound for college or the military.
The SSPs will provide live music. The event also includes a buffet and beverages.

Ocean City residents Wayne Blizzard and Mike Lukens helped start the scholarship fundraiser a couple years ago as a way to recognize athletes in one of Ocean City High School’s most successful programs. Several have moved on to excel in higher ranks of competitive surfing. Lukens is shaping a custom board for the event.
Prizes will include the custom board, other boards donated by local surf shops and gift baskets.
