2013 Walk for the Wounded on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ.

Ocean City Home Bank and Operation First Response — a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to injured soldiers and their families — will present the sixth annual Walk for the Wounded on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Saturday (Sept. 27).

Walk for the Wounded aims to bring attention to the tens of thousands of returning soldiers who are wounded and whose families continue to face both financial, and emotional challenges while they do what they can to support their loved ones’ recoveries. The Walk raises funds to meet the critical needs of these families.

Registration for the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier on Mooryln Terrace and the Boardwalk. Ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. and the three-mile walk will commence at 10 a.m.
