Mary Beth Libro, a third grade teacher at OCPS who won “2016 Cape May County Teacher of the Year.”
OCEAN CITY, NJ (May 11, 2016) – The Ocean City School Board and Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Taylor, are proud to announce that one of the Ocean City Primary School third grade teachers, Mary Beth Libro, has been selected as the 2016 Cape May County Teacher of the Year.
Mary Beth has been teaching in the District for the past nine years and has been teaching third grade for the past three years. She is known for taking an ordinary lesson plan and weaving in a number of different instructional components to engage all of her students. Enthusiasm and compassion are seen over the multitude of subjects she teaches on a daily basis. Teaching allows Mary Beth to pass her love of learning on to each of her students, all while answering the multitude of inquisitive questions asked by seven and eight year olds.
