The Ocean City Fire and Police Department did an excellent job maintaining a serious blaze and keeping everyone safe. When this reporter arrived neighbors reported seeing emergency responders in the heart of it, amongst the flames, clearing the building.
The classic Spanish Terracotta home on Waverly Blvd. was a real beauty and sadly it looks as if it sustained very serious damage. It was clearly very hot and dangerous. The ambulance team stood ready as the firefighters did what they were trained to do. It is apparent that if they did not, this could have been much worse.
