Santa made his way from the North Pole to the Music Pier for photos through Dec. 22.

Santa Claus was parked outside of the Ocean City Music Pier on Saturday.

He traded in, for the moment anyway, his sleigh and reindeer for an Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguard boat to the amusement of hundreds of children.

At noon, families were lined up to wait their turn for a photo with the jolly fellow. Children had their wish lists ready to tell Saint Nick what they want to find under the tree on Christmas morning.

The beachfront photos with Santa are a popular attraction year after year.

Santa wore his trademark snow-white beard, bushy white eyebrows, wire-rimmed glasses and red and white velvet suit and cap.

The “Photos With Santa” event began Nov. 30 and continues through Dec. 22. Children and adults can get their pictures taken with Santa at the Music Pier at Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The cost is $10.
