Roberts, Joseph Allen, Jr., age 42, of Linwood passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
He was born in Somers Point, NJ and was formerly of Upper Township, NJ before moving to Linwood, NJ.
Joe was a graduate of Mainland High School class of 1992 and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He played football in both high school and college, and served as a Coach for Upper Township Football.
He worked as a Habilitation Plan Coordinator for the Woodbine Development Center in Woodbine, NJ.
He is survived by two sons: Christian Joseph Roberts and Ethan Benjamin Roberts both of Ocean City, NJ, his parents Joseph and Patricia (Bateman) Roberts of Somers Point, NJ; two brothers, James Christopher Roberts of Clarks Green, PA and John Patrick Roberts of Westmont, his former spouse, Kelly T. Baker of Ocean City, his fiance, Krista Ruff of Cape May, NJ, his paternal grandmother, Martha Roberts of Mays Landing, NJ, a step son, Neil Brian Brower and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
His funeral service was offered Saturday afternoon at four o’clock from The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends may call from two o’clock until the time of service. Burial was followed in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo, NJ.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made the Christian and Ethan Roberts Educational Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank.
