Police Seek Suspect in Ocean City Robbery Attempt

Investigators are looking for tips in a search for a suspect who tried to rob the Super Fresh pharmacy in Ocean City on Friday afternoon.

Ocean City police responded to a call from Super Fresh (the grocery store between Eighth and Ninth streets on West Avenue) at 12:31 p.m. June 19 for a reported armed robbery.

It was reported that the suspect shown in a photograph here allegedly told the employee working the pharmacy that he had a gun and demanded that they hand over prescription medications. When the employee was slow to respond, the suspect made a few more statements and then fled the store without receiving any medications.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a white Phillies cap, light blue shirt, dark shorts. He is approximately 5’10” tall, heavy-set and with brown eyes.

The suspect is believed to have left the parking garage driving a dark-colored, 4-door, medium-size vehicle (see photo here).

The investigation is being conducted by; The Cape May County Prosecutors Office and the Ocean City Police Department. Anyone with information should contact the Ocean City Police Department at (609) 399-9111.
