A pedestrian involved in a motor vehicle accident at 26th Street and West Avenue in Ocean City died from her injuries, according to a joint news release Monday from Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Ocean City Police Chief Jay Prettyman.

On Aug. 11 at approximately 8:45 p.m., a woman identified as Katherine Lux, 21, of New Hope, Pa., was struck by a vehicle driven by Wilfredo Latimer, 44, of Egg Harbor Township.

Lux was transported to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point and then transferred to the AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, where she died on the afternoon of Aug. 13.
