Paige Aita, a 15-year-old from Newtown, Pa., was crowned Junior Miss Ocean City on Saturday evening at the Ocean City Music Pier.
Aita, who won the Little Miss Ocean City Pageant in 2012, performed a musical theater dance to “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from “Hairspray” and took top honors in the talent portion of the pageant.
Junior Miss Ocean City is open to girls ages 12 to 15 who live in Ocean City, attend Ocean City schools or whose parents own property in Ocean City. Eleven contestants competed in categories including interview, talent, poise and composure and an on-stage question.
The pageant includes more than $3,400 in scholarships and awards.

Aita is the daughter of Lori and Daren Aita, and she has three sisters, including Little Miss Ocean City 2014-15 Hope Aita.
Along with current Little Miss Ocean City Sarah Rodriguez and Miss Ocean City Shannon Wallace, Aita will represent the city at events throughout the year.
