The Sports Memorabilia show boasts an array of special items for sports junkies to browse and buy.

Downtown and Boardwalk merchants are looking forward to outdoor table sales throughout the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25.

They will display their merchandise on tables set up outside their storefronts and offer discounts and specials. They will set up again for the weekend of May 1 and 2, when they also will hold a Virtual Spring Block Party with online deals.

Also this weekend, vendors with merchandise and collector’s items representing a variety of sports and teams will be at the Ocean City Music Pier on Saturday, April 24 for the annual Sports Memorabilia Show.

The show runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This modified event will be vendor-specific and will not include the autograph signings by sports heroes that fans have come to love in past events. Capacity limits, mask and social distancing requirements will be in place. Call 609-399-6111 for more information.

These events provide a great chance to get down to the shore and enjoy all that Ocean City has to offer.

A coloring contest is one of the highlights of Martin Z Mollusk Day.

In Ocean City’s own take on Groundhog Day, the town’s crustacean mascot will seek his shadow on Martin Z. Mollusk Day (Saturday, May 8) to see if summer will come a week early. The fun begins at 11 a.m. on the beach at Ninth Street.

This annual tradition includes a coloring contest for kids, entry forms and coloring pages will be distributed at the Primary School and can be picked up at the City Hall Welcome Center (861 Asbury Avenue), the Ocean City Free Public Library (1735 Simpson Ave.) and the Ocean City Music Pier (Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace) on weekends.

The Modern Muscle Car Invasion storms the Boardwalk on May 8. Muscle Cars will be displayed on the boards noon to 5 p.m. from Fifth Street to 14th Street. For more information, visit modernmusclecarinvasion.com.

Ocean City is looking forward to the return of as many events as possible this year, while keeping health and safety as a top priority. Look for further announcements on new and returning events throughout the year.

Merchants on the Boardwalk and in downtown Ocean City will offer shoppers deals on an array of items during the table sales.
