Business has been good for Ocean City’s Vacation Rental website VROCNJ.com, so much so that Duane Watlington, founder of Vacation Rentals Jersey Shore LLC, is offering incentives to owners in a sale through Monday, Nov. 27.

“To encourage more owners to give us a try, and sign up their rental, we are offering a big sale this weekend,” Watlington explained. “Since we are both a small business and a cyber company, we decided to run a three-day promotion from Small Business Saturday through Cyber Monday.”

Any new listings added to VROCNJ.com during the three days can take $100 off their annual subscription plan. Just enter the coupon code “save100” when you check out.

This means an owner can have a listing on VROCNJ for their rental in 2022 for as low as $149. There are no commissions or other costs paid to VROCNJ.

The website launched in Ocean City in 2020, and since then the web traffic has been phenomenal, Watlington noted. However, the traffic is growing more than the rental listing inventory.

“Over 250 rental listings in Ocean City filled up early for 2021, leaving us very little inventory for all these families searching for a rental to choose from,” he said. “While this is good for our owners, we need more inventory so these vacationers can find their perfect rental.”

Small Business Saturday through Cyber Monday features discounts to owners.

Watlington’s hope is that once owners see all of the benefits of the vacation website, they will sign up for 2022.

“The commission they will save for just one summer week alone will pay for the annual subscription on VROCNJ.com. In addition, if they are on Vrbo or Airbnb, a listing on VROCNJ can earn them more money, while at the same time save their vacationers up to 25 percent in booking fees and taxes that these platforms take. Everybody wins,” Watlington said.

In addition, Watlington is offering free rental coaching to all owners who sign up.

“For the last five years, I have helped over 2,000 rental owners rent direct. I love helping them earn more money by increasing the number of direct bookings they take,” he said.

The owners have complete control over the booking process, who rents their home, cancellation policies, etc.

And there is another benefit to signing up for VROCNJ, Watlington pointed out.

“Our owners have direct access to me, the owner of VROCNJ, seven days a week for help and advice,” he said.

Over the last five years, Watlington and his staff have helped over 2,000 owners on Long Beach Island in Ocean County, Wildwood and most recently, Ocean City, to fill their summer weeks and earn more money by booking direct.

“We are so excited that in just two years, our website www.VROCNJ.com is now the No. 1 website for rentals in Ocean City,” he said. “We want to help every owner in Ocean City get more direct bookings so they can keep more of the rental revenue they generate for themselves.”
