Scoutmaster Dean Mitzel is presented with a check by Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Ian Crowley. The money is a donation from the Miss Night in Venice Committee.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Miss Night In Venice Pageant Committee donated $1,000 to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 32 of Ocean City.

The money will be used for various necessities, including replacing and purchasing equipment, as well as offsetting the cost of camping trips.

Troop 32 will be taking a trip this summer to New Mexico. The funds will help some scouts who otherwise might not have been able to make it.

The troop thanked the committee members and said they look forward to all of the new opportunities the donation will provide.
