The following is Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian’s weekly update to citizens posted on Friday, Sept. 11.

Earlier this evening I had the honor of participating in Ocean City’s annual ceremony in remembrance of the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

We should feel proud as a community that we have gathered each year since that terrible day to honor the victims, survivors and heroes of 9/11.

There’s plenty to do in Ocean City this weekend including two air shows and the annual Street Rod Exhibition.  The Ocean City Pops Orchestra caps off the weekend with a concert on Sunday night at the Music Pier.  For information on these and other upcoming events please click HERE
