Ocean City will host a free rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Ocean City Fire Department at 550 Asbury Avenue.

New Jersey state law requires that all dogs six months and older or having a permanent set of teeth must be licensed.

A current rabies certificate must be provided as well as proof of spay/neuter for a dog license. The cost is $10 for all dogs that are not spayed/neutered and $7 for those that are.

All dog licenses are renewable in January. Renewal notices are sent the first week of the new year and licenses may be renewed by mail utilizing the renewal notice.

Dog owners are asked to bring their renewal notice, if you bring your dog to the clinic. Any licenses not renewed by March 31 will incur a $4 late fee.

If you have questions, call the Ocean City Clerk’s Office at 609-525-9328.
