Mary Beth Snow has been a dance instructor in Ocean City for 38 years, and a dancer before that. That doesn’t mean she won’t be nervous on Saturday night when she participates in “Dancing Under the Atlantic City Stars”, a fundraising event to benefit the Community FoodBank of Southern New Jersey. “I haven’t been onstage performing in quite a while, so this is a little bit out of my comfort zone,” said Snow, who founded, owns and operates The Dance Place at 618 E. 8th Street. Ocean City Hockey Team Advances to South Jersey Finals

The Ocean City High School field hockey team defeated Absegami, 4-0, Tuesday afternoon to advance to the finals of the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs. The Red Raiders will play Clearview, which defeated Mainland to also earn a bid in Thursday’s final. The game gets underway 2 p.m. Thursday at Ocean City's Carey Stadium.

O.C. Intermediate School Achieves Bronze Certification in Sustainability

The Ocean City Intermediate School has met the rigorous requirements to achieve Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification, according to a JASM Consulting press release. These schools form part of a group of 111 schools that achieved the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification in 2018.

O.C. Chamber Names Jon and Patty Talese Citizens of the Year

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the Chamber’s 2018 Citizen of the Year Award and Outstanding Business and Beautification Awards. This year, the Citizen of the Year Award will be presented to Jon and Patty Talese, owners of Jon and Patty’s Coffee Bar and Bistro located at 637 Asbury Ave. The Talese family has given back to the community for generations.

Ocean City Faces Absegami in Playoff Hockey Showdown

Ocean City High School's field hockey team looks to return, once again, to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 final with a win versus Absegami on Tuesday. The game is slated for a 2 p.m. start at Ocean City’s Carey Stadium. Absegami (8-9-2) is a familiar foe for the Red Raiders (17-3-1), a conference opponent in the Cape Atlantic League, American Division.
