The Ocean City Board of Realtors (OCBOR) held a grand re-opening Tuesday of their newly renovated board office, located at 405 22nd Street, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Mayor Jay Gillian and City Council President Pete Madden, who is also the president of the OCBOR, and Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michele Gillian, along with other Chamber members, joined a host of OCBOR members and other business members in the community for the event.
Michele Gillian said a few words about the importance of the OCBOR and all that the members mean to the community.
“The Ocean City Board of Realtors is a significant organization that promotes the Ocean City way of life by giving back to the community,” she said.
Mayor Gillian led the countdown while Madden cut the ceremonial ribbon with a pair of oversized scissors to the applause of the crowd.
Attendees ate lunch and chatted around a newly renovated board office, complete with new tables, flooring, and comfortable seating. The updated space is designed with the goal of enhancing the office for collaboration among the leadership team, members, affiliates, as well as the city of Ocean City.
The Ocean City Board of Realtors was founded in 1920 and has been continuously serving the residents, property owners, and guests of the resort since its inception. The membership consists of 27 offices and more than 500 members.
