The rookie lifeguards will take their place at the Ocean City Beach Patrol stands this summer.
The Ocean City Beach Patrol on Monday announced the successful candidates in a competitive tryout for lifeguard positions.
The 2025 rookie test was held on Saturday, June 7, on the beach at 18th Street.
Forty-seven candidates competed in a 500-meter ocean swim, a 500-meter ocean paddleboard, a one-half-mile beach run and a surf dash. All candidates also completed an interview.
The new lifeguards include:
