The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect for Ocean City from 7 p.m. Friday through 7 p.m. Saturday.
The latest forecast calls for 6 to 12 inches of snow along the coast of southern New Jersey.
Localized bands of heavier snow are possible. Northeast and north winds gusting up to 50 mph are also predicted. The track of the storm remains uncertain as of Thursday morning. Please monitor updates as the weekend approaches.
West Avenue is a “Snow Removal Zone” and parking is prohibited on both sides of the street when the road is covered by snow. Plan to move vehicles from West Avenue before Friday evening.

The utility companies recommend you contact them directly as soon as you experience a problem so that they can properly track outages and repairs.
Minor coastal flooding is predicted for the hours around high tide at 5:28 a.m. Saturday. At this time, no advisories are in effect, but the National Weather Service predicts a level of 5.5 feet on the mean low water (MLW) scale. Please monitor conditions and be prepared to move vehicles before going to bed on Friday evening.
