The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Ocean City from 10 p.m. Thursday through 10 a.m. Friday. The latest forecast calls for 1 to 5 inches of snow, with the heaviest accumulations overnight. Localized bands of heavier snow are possible, but warmer ocean air may limit the duration of the snowfall along the coast. North winds gusting to 35 mph are also predicted. Please be advised that West Avenue is a “Snow Removal Zone” and parking is prohibited on both sides of the street when the road is covered by snow. Plan to move vehicles from West Avenue before going to bed tonight. Call the following emergency contact numbers for local utility companies if you experience outages or other problems during the upcoming winter storm:

Stainton Senior Center will be closed on Friday. Morning programs at the Ocean City Civic Center will be suspended. For police and fire department emergencies, call 911.
