A new restaurant overlooking the Ocean City Boardwalk, Atlantic Ocean and the iconic 14th Street Pier is open at the Port-O-Call Hotel.

The restaurant celebrated a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Thursday with Mayor Jay Gillian, Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce officials, and restaurant staff and managers.

Adelene offers a fine-dining experience at the same time it remains faithful to seashore favorites, according to Jessica Scully, president of the company that owns the Port-O-Call, the landmark hotel on the Boardwalk between 15th and 16th streets.

The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, and for dinner on weekends. Chef Drew Tuano mixes in his own specialties — everything from cannoli-stuffed french toast to Adelene’s Crab Cakes.

Breakfast and lunch specialties are mostly $10 and under, while dinner entrees are about $20 to $30. The restaurant is casual and comfortable and invites families. Game tablets are available for kids.

The restaurant is named for the grandmother of Scully, who is a third-generation owner. The remodeled restaurant facility is a year in the making, she said.

Original artwork by Art Lachman adorns the walls and adds warm colors to the dining room.

The room is available for events, weddings and private parties, Scully said.
