John Kander and the late Fred Ebb were one of the greatest songwriting teams in the history of Broadway and Hollywood.

The 1991 revue “The World Goes ‘Round” celebrates their achievements with a survey of songs from their matchless list of hit show tunes from stage and screen, including “All That Jazz,” “Cabaret,” “New York, New York,” “How Lucky Can You Get,” “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” “Coffee in a Cardboard Cup,” “And The World Goes ‘Round,” and so many more.  “The World Goes ‘Round” is a fully staged retrospect of two of musical theatre’s greatest collaborators!

Keeping in the spirit of collaboration, the Ocean City Pops and the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company join forces to bring to life this musical journey. John Kander and Fred Ebb’s brilliance has never been showcased so impeccably. Filled with humor, romance, drama, and non-stop melody, this show is a celebration of life and the fighting spirit that keeps us all going.

“We are thrilled to highlight the impressive career of this dynamic duo,” said Director Michael Hartman. Full of familiar tunes and hidden gems, “The World Goes ‘Round” features something for everyone! Joining the Creative Team is Andrew Hink as music director with Rachel Marlowe and Colleen Kreisel as choreographers.

Starring a professional cast of triple-threat musical theatre performers, “The World Goes ‘Round” runs for only three performances at the Ocean City Music Pier on September 6, 8, and 11. Curtain is 7:30 PM and tickets range from $25-$30.
