Ocean City Masonic Lodge No. 171 will host a free Community Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Masonic Lodge, located at 940 Wesley Ave.
The event is spearheaded by Dr. David Angelastro, an emergency room physician at Shore Medical Center and the Worshipful Master of the Ocean City Masonic Lodge.
The fair will feature health experts from Shore Medical Center and Shore Physicians Group, offering a wide range of educational resources and free screenings.
Attendees can receive free blood pressure screenings and heart health education, balance care tips from Shore physical therapists, and stroke risk assessments, including how to recognize the signs of a stroke.
Experts from Shore’s Center for Sleep Medicine will be on hand to discuss how better sleep can improve overall health. Visitors can also meet with a Shore social worker to learn about caregiver support through the Center for Family Caregivers and speak with representatives from Shore Physicians Group’s Ocean City Primary Care & Sports Medicine office.
Additional topics include outpatient palliative care for chronic illness management, and Shore’s Sensory Care programs, which provide sensory-friendly emergency pediatric care and outpatient testing.
Masons will sell refreshments during the event, with proceeds benefiting Shore Medical Center’s sensory-friendly programs.
