Ocean City will host a free rabies clinic from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Ocean City Fire Department headquarters at 550 Asbury Avenue.

Dogs must be licensed in the state of New Jersey. To renew a license, a rabies vaccine must be good for at least 10 months into the licensing year.

All dogs 6 months or older, or having a permanent set of teeth must be licensed. A current rabies certificate must be provided as well as proof of spay/neuter. The cost is $10 for all dogs that are not spayed/neutered and $7 for those that are.

All dog licenses are renewable in January. Renewal notices are sent the first week of the new year and licenses may be renewed by mail utilizing the renewal notice. Please bring your renewal notice, if you bring your dog to the clinic. Any licenses not renewed by March 31 will incur a $4 late fee.

For any questions, call the Ocean City Clerk's Office at 609-525-9328.
