The Humane Society of Ocean City (HSOC) staff works tirelessly to help shelter animals find loving homes. But medical care, housing and supplies cost money.

The Ocean City community is there to help HSOC with its mission to care for the cats and dogs that are in the shelter.

On Friday, Mayor Jay Gillian joined Audrey Hand and Bryan Durnan, account executives from The Title Company of Jersey, for a check presentation of $1,000 to HSOC Executive Director Phil Bellucci, CEO Bill Hollingsworth and Director of Operations Courtney Venzie.

“I want to thank The Title Company of Jersey for making a donation to the Humane Society of Ocean City,” Gillian said. “We are lucky to have such a highly regarded animal shelter in town, and the facility owes a lot of its success to the dedication of volunteers and generosity of donors like The Title Company of Jersey.”

Hand said the foremost reason The Title Company of Jersey raised funds for HSOC was to support a great cause.

“We are a local company giving back to the community to support the efforts of HSOC to help shelter animals find their forever homes,” she said.

Hand explained that the company was able to raise $1,000 for HSOC thanks to the generosity of the community. The company held two fundraising events, one in September at Playland’s Castaway Cove, and the other, “Pickleball for Paws,” in October.

Bellucci said of the donation, “Our Ocean City community is like our family, supporting our mission to provide the highest level of compassion and service to our animal friends.”
