Bestselling artist Jackie Evancho will sing the national anthem at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 26, during Ocean City’s daily flag-raising ceremony outside the Ocean City Music Pier (Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace).
Evancho will be in town to perform with the Ocean City Pops in a special concert 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 27, at the Music Pier.
Since she first dazzled television audiences at the age of 10 as a runner-up on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” she has released a string of platinum and gold albums with sales of over 2.5 million in the U.S. All six of her albums have hit No. 1 on the Billboard Classical chart. She has performed with the Ocean City Pops twice before and has become a local favorite.

The Boardwalk flag-raising ceremony starts at 9 a.m. every day through Sept. 11.
The event includes the playing of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the U.S.A" and the national anthem.
