Mayor's Message: Scheduled Power Outages

Dear Friends,

Atlantic City Electric has to make some emergency repairs Tuesday morning and they’re planning a power outage for about 15 minutes starting at 7:15 a.m. The outage will affect parts of the downtown and the Boardwalk, along with nearby neighborhoods. The following information has been provided by the utility company:
  • This is an important message from Atlantic City Electric regarding a planned power outage that will impact your energy service on Tuesday morning, August 24.
  • Please be advised that ACE will be performing work on energy equipment in Ocean City that delivers power to your home or business.
  • For Atlantic City Electric to safely conduct this work, you will experience a service interruption this morning starting around 7:15 a.m. and lasting approximately 15 minutes.
  • The first outage will impact customers located from 8th Street to 11th Street between Haven and Wesley Avenues and the second outage will impact customers from 15th Street to the Gardens between West Avenue and the Boardwalk.
