The Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes Anne Beiler, founder of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, to speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional and 10:30 a.m. contemporary worship services on Sunday, August 22. Born and raised in the Amish-Mennonite community of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Beiler grew up surrounded by faith and family. During these years, important life lessons were permanently weaved into the fabric of her life. Following the loss of a child, facing a struggling marriage, and hiding the trauma of abuse by a trusted leader, Beiler found hope and reconciliation through confession and faith in Jesus, according to a Tabernacle news release. With a new-found purpose of helping others, she founded Auntie Anne’s Pretzels to fund a local counseling ministry. More than three decades later, Auntie Anne’s is the world’s largest pretzel franchise, and Beiler continues to tell her story, inspiring business leaders, entrepreneurs, and everyday people to find and fulfill a purpose bigger than themselves, the release stated. Also returning to the Tabernacle on August 22 will be Steve Green to close out the 2021 summer worship concert series. Throughout his 34 years of ministry, Green has been honored with four Grammy nominations, 18 No. 1 songs and seven Dove Awards. He has also been inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame. With over 40 albums, including children’s and Spanish-language projects, Green has sold over 3 million units worldwide. His free concert at the Tabernacle begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for first come, first served seating and a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m. For a full schedule of speakers, concerts, conferences, and other events at the Ocean City Tabernacle, visit octabernacle.org
