A dip in the ocean may be the only way to beat the heat.

The National Weather Service is warning of dangerously hot conditions starting Wednesday afternoon and continuing into Sunday, with temperatures soaring well into the 90s. Heat advisories and excessive heat warnings may need to be expanded and extended as we go through the week.
Heat Index values will range from 100 to 105 Wednesday and Thursday and from 105 to 110 on Friday through Sunday. The highest heat index values are expected to occur on Saturday. Overnight lows will be in the 70s to around 80. Consequently, there will be little relief overnight from the dangerously hot conditions. There is a risk of severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening with damaging winds being the primary threat. There will be a high risk for dangerous rip currents Wednesday afternoon at New Jersey beaches.
