Ocean City Free Public Library and Community Center Offers Family Fun At Holiday Festival Sunday, December 3

  • Things To Do
From stilt walkers to trolley tours, the Ocean City Free Public Library and Community Center will host a variety of festive activities at its annual Holiday Festival on Sunday, December 3. A Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off the Festival at 1:00 pm in the Community Center Atrium, along with live music from The White Walls Band, refreshments, and special guests. “The holidays are such a special time in Ocean City, and each year, we look forward to inviting the entire community to kick off the season with us,” said Karen Mahar, Director of the Ocean City Free Public Library. “We love to provide our patrons with a chance to celebrate before the responsibilities of shopping, wrapping, and entertaining get in the way.” The Ocean City Free Public Library offers family-friendly entertainment, including a balloon sculptor, stilt walker, temporary tattoos, a photo booth, and crafts, until 4:00 pm. Santa Claus will join the festivities, and the first 200 guests will receive special gifts. All Library activities are free and open to the public. At the Ocean City Historical Museum, guests can browse in Mrs. Claus’ market and enjoy a Christmas carol-filled Trolley History Tour of Downtown Ocean City and the Lifesaving Station. The trolley tours run at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30 pm, and tickets are $10 for adults. Children under 16 are free with an accompanying adult. At the gift shop at the Ocean City Art Center, guests can find unique holiday gifts, including pottery created by Art Center students. The Ocean City Community Center is located at 1735 Simpson Avenue
in Ocean City, New Jersey. For more information, call (609) 399-2434.
